status update

yesterday marked another status update in my life: full-time employee, part-time student. hohoho XD

may the heavens shine their light towards my success and not let me sleep in half of its course. :))

i'm posting this picture because this year would mark my 10th year of being a Legionary. yez, i'm involved in church, somehow. haha. XD

i don't tell people that all the time for there are stereotypes who lock their image on how and what an active Catholic should be and look like. i for one don't make that fit. but i'm on my 10th year now. see what i mean? :D

people like us are not perfect. we are people too. it's just that, we are people who somehow want to be a better us each day. and having a support system who share the same thinking really helps. these people had been part of my life and they never let me down. and i love them. ♥

we held our annual Legionary promise last saturday. it is held so we can renew our vows as Legionaries. a refresher. a reminder on who we truly are. and even if i have done it many times, doing it still give me the chills. it's a good feeling. :)

yes, i was late. i came from work so i didn't catch the act of consecration. but then, i still went to our vexilium and did it with my whole heart.

i love myself more each day for i have this purpose to live for. :)

i was in a bookstore the other day before heading home to buy myself stationery. i was planning on writing to my oso with one. but dismay. how come there are a few of it left? hindi na uso? it broke my heart realizing that i have to make do picking out from what seem like a shoe box of random stationery. childhood days are gone. :((

i began to pity on what would happen to this generation who will never experience letters coming from people they care about from very pretty paper. posting on networking sites cannot replace it, i know so.

old school is still the best!! bring back stationery!! *in rage, haha*

but i found a stationery pad i like while i was painstakingly finding myself a decent set.

it comes in themes like rome, london, paris, new york, etc. and the whole pad features leaves that have photos from the theme you've chosen. i bought the paris themed pad for myself. :)

this is a sample of a leaf from the pad. at the upper right is a picture of the eiffel tower and at the bottom, a random shot of a street in paris.

each leaf doubles as the envelope of your letter already. neat, right?

this is the instructions on how you fold it and make it as its own envelope. you need to dampen the flap to seal it all together. well, supposedly, that's the idea. but it's not sticking anymore when i tried it. :)) o well, it must've been in the bookstore a long time. but since i love it, i can forgive it. there's glue to do that job anyway, hihi. :)

but this was best! :) i had these for lunch. my oso came by our home this afternoon and cooked this for me. he's not the best cook. but he tries. all for the love of me. hihi. :">

i ate my lunch with my oso today while watching random cable shows. and that's a good afternoon spent. i love my oso. he's best. :)

saving for a pair

i have in my to-do list a splurge i wanted to do this 2012. and boy, i'll be saving a lot to buy it. i just hope i really can have it this 2012. fingers crossed.

a Dr. Martens 1460 is a major major wish i want. huhu

just thinking about how much this will cost me makes me sad. BUT, i'm convinced that this will be a good buy. so i need to save, save, save. or i can just throw a tantrum at my oso and maybe he'll buy me a pair. :))

summer on a stick

march is the start of summer for me.

even if a lot of school are still holding their periodical exams and thesis are far from over on colleges and universities, one cannot deny that many hot days in the country happens on march. and for that, let me post a picture of my oso and his latest popsicle craze: the selecta magnum. it costs us Php50 at sm supermarket where we bought two and i think it costs Php5 more on 7-11 stores.

we just got curious about this and bought it for that reason. the belgian chocolate looks promising and it didn't fail if you ask me.
if you're a chocolate lover more than an ice cream person, you'll like this.

but for myself --an ice cream person, i cannot buy it as often as i buy my vanilla ice creams and sorbetes. old school childhood ice cream is still my one true love, hihi. ♥

though, i cannot say if it's over rated. we all have different tastes anyway. :)

marching on

2012 is on its third month already.

march, hello! :)

many things would be happening to me this month... i'm so excited just thinking about it. :))

three to-do from my 2012 list are to start this month. and i guess i can say i'm ready for them. though my fingers are still crossed, haha. XD

and what a way to start march. i literally spent the entire march 1st sleeping. :)) i find myself sleepy all day. maybe because this is the first time since i can't remember that i get to rest. heavy workload, draining shifting days.. they are soon to be over. and i look forward to it being over. :)) soon enough, things will be back to normal.

and since, there are many changes happening at work, i'm also looking forward to better things for me and my workmates.

this month will change a lot of things for me. and i'm so ready for all of them, haha. :D
