gno: lpg edition

for valentines day, i had a date with my single girl friends at greenbelt. my oso has work so my evening was free. i went out to dinner with some of the lpg. we ate at Mary Grace after resto hopping. greenbelt was packed with people so we end up on waiting lists on the restaurants we went to. but i guess it was a blessing since i loved the dinner we had. ♥

here's a collage i made via Pic Collage app from my phone:

people find it weird that my oso and i don't do the conventional valentine date during the 14th. as from previous post, we had ours on the 13th. but i guess, our relationship is not like anyone else's too.

i guess, our love is lovelier than any bouquet of flowers and sweeter than any chocolates. and with that in our hearts, we don't need to be fancy. plus, my oso is very dear. we can be cheesy just about any day. no occasion can tell him when to make me feel special. :)♥
valentine's day makes me realize how lucky i am to have him. that's that. :)

plus, who says i was not on the spirit of being corny that night? i was wearing these when i was with my girls:

beat that! :P
a lot of couples were staring at my shoes when they saw it. hah! that beat their roses and chocolates. :)) i had this custom made for me and my oso. lovely? ♥

and yes, oso and i saw each other that day. even for a while. i was on a mall before i met my friends.  he went there even if he needed more sleep that day before going to work. we saw each other in less than an hour but i felt the efforts of him giving me time. i love him all the more each day. ♥

kdrama love equals po suk jung XD

ok, i'll be blogging this before i get lazy.. :))

to be in the boat of heart's day, my oso and i celebrated the occasion a day early. why? well, we have been doing that ever since. beats me. XD

he took me to a restaurant in oranbo, pasig called Po Suk Jun Korean BBQ Restaurant.
why? well, he finally got into the craze of fan girling. :)) i love watching korean dramas and i got to pull him into the wagon. and because he loves me so, he let me taste a korean meal that i only see on the series i watch. how thoughtful of my oso, right? ♥

this is their menu. never had a chance to take a picture of the inside since i was busy ordering. XD

to start of, we had these for appetizers:

we didn't order the appetizers. they just gave this for free, hihi. i was actually surprised that they have things like this. who doesn't love free food? :))

i don't really now what the appetizers were each called. forgive me, i'm not a food blogger to get into details. food is food. and i name them the first time by taste. :)) and i can't even remember how this  tastes. :))

now this one, i remember. because amongst all the appetizers, i liked this best. it's seems to be pickled onions and radishes. ate the whole thing. i love it. the sauce is good garnish for the rice, hihi. :)
this was plenty when served. i ate most of it before i took pictures of our food. so disclaimer: most of the food featured here were eaten first. :))

kimchi. i loved the taste of the paste but since i'm not really a fan of the cabbage family, i ate only a few. but for kimchi loving foodies, i guess this is fine. :)

dilis. a sweet and salty mixture. liked it. :)

this came late. it's part of the appetizer as well. sweet potatoes on a sweet-salty sauce. love this too. they served this hot, yummier! :P~ they served four of these. i ate one before taking a photo. :))

for our main meal, we had these:

seng galbi. a non-marinated beef short ribs worth Php600.

yukgejang.a spicy beef soup worth Php 250.

in reality, these is how it looked like when serve to us:

pretty neat, huh? :D the meat was tender, nicely grilled outside --po suk jung has two dinning halls: one outside for do-it-yourself grillings and shabu-shabu and one inside, where we stayed. even if the beef was marinated, it was juicy. personally, i don't mind if it lacked seasoning. i loved it. :)

they also have marinated beef. but and i believe, non-marinated beef requires fresh meat since it will definitely rely on its freshness to be good. you're more sure of good meat non-marinated. :)

plus, it comes with these too:

i believe these are lettuces? correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not good with vegetables. :))
you can wrap the beef using these greens and then, you can also add these:

more greens and bean sprouts. yummy! :P~

and o, after wrapping the beef with the greens, you can deep it to these for flavor:

as per the waitress i asked, the red sauce is made out of bean paste and and clear one is of olive oil with salt and pepper. i loved the bean paste. :)

and these is the yukgejang! :)

i loved this the most! ♥ spicy hot pot soup on a rainy day, yum! :DD this has noodles which reminded me of sotanghon, mushrooms which tasted like beef, beef and vegetables --which i didn't mind knowing since the soup was awesome. :P~
the spiciness of the beef complemented the soup very much. it's like butter on a bread. good pair! :)
this will definitely be a regular order everytime i visit. :)

also had their iced tea. different from the regular ones i'm used to having. i've seen once, korean iced tea are sold on jars and looked liked jams, hihi. i don't know if this was of that kind. but i liked it since it was different. :)
i forgot how much was this but i think it was Php35 or Php 60? :))

my oso and i sure had a feast that night. the dinner was lovely. ♥

i personally commend the staff of po suk jung for being so friendly and accommodating. from the guard at the parking lot who offered us an umbrella even though we insisted we're fine without one to the lady server who tirelessly explained everything on the menu from my countless inquiries. the visit was lovelier because they served us well.

will definitely come back. :) i've already recommended this to friends.

while waiting for my script...

i bought this a few weeks back due to the influence of korean drama in my system. :)) passed by it at the grocery store and decided to have a sip.

my verdict? i still prefer my homegrown beer any given day. XD
this same bottle is still in our fridge. XD

warnings

i don't know how long it had been that it was placed on every toblerone pack. but i just noticed this recently. it's like the cigarette commercial warnings on tv saying its bad for you and yet they are selling it. haha. XD

don't say they didn't warn you. :))
